From the simplest to the most complex parts, Hinkle has been providing returnable and expendable interior dunnage solutions meeting critical packaging needs since 1972. Our products include thermoformed trays, finger dunnage, extruded die-cut polyethylene tubes, and specialized integrated dunnage components, all of which can be used separately or in conjunction with our V-Pak® system, a patented system of rail supports allowing maximum part density per container and at a fraction of the cost of other materials like XLPE.
Hinkle’s in-house design team has decades of experience creating custom thermoformed packaging solutions for the top OEM, Tier One and Tier Two vendors across North America and overseas. The design process emphasizes diligent communication to obtain a complete understanding of the parts and shipping requirements of each customer. From the initial concept design and drawings, to prototyping, whether a full sample or a partial rapid 3D print, and ultimately production, each dedicated design engineer is involved from start to finish assuring the end result meets the customer’s expectations.
Both prototype and production tooling is designed and made in – house providing a distinct competitive advantage to our customers not found everywhere else. This advantage allows greater control over the finished product as well as saving you time and money.
The materials used to make the thermoformed and extruded products are predominantly HIPS and HMWPE, but we also utilize ABS, PET, and ESD HIPS as the customer’s needs require. Hinkle extrudes its own polystyrene and polyethylene roll stock in house which allows us to make thermoformed trays at highly competitive prices compared to other vacuum forming companies.
Being based in Dearborn, Michigan does not limit Hinkle’s ability to service our customers from Canada to Mexico and New York to California and beyond.
Of course, modern communications technologies like cell phones, email, WebEx or Zoom meetings allow us to serve you, the customer, more effectively than ever before. However, Hinkle’s customer service representatives and dedicated sales and program managers are always available to travel to you to assure they have a complete understanding of all of your packaging needs if other communication methods just aren’t enough.
